Traveling to Tucson

Jun 14, 2010 07:55

As Jeff noted, we went to Tucson on Saturday, intending to spend a Summer Saturday evening at the Desert Museum, but not quite making it. OTOH, we had a nice semi-agendaless day. We dropped off our mixed recycling, picked up a few titles at Fantasy Comics, and finally, after what seems like years of "we should..." had lunch with friends at the Arizona Inn. Now I really want to read the correspondence between Isabella Greenway and Eleanor Roosevelt ... sometime. We ran a few quick errands,  and stopped at the Tucson Mall. It was supposed to be a quick stop, but ended up being more leisurely than anticipated. Our mall time ended with dinner at Cheesecake Factory -- an occasional indulgence, including OMFG Red Velvet Cheesecake!!! Why did no one think to combine these foods before? Our extremely late arrival home meant that we at least were home in time to give still-having-tummy-trouble Karma her evening meds, and watch some of the National Underwater Robotics Challenge.
Sunday was spent mostly randomly saying, "Ow," and recuperating from the damage the dogs did Saturday AM. :: sigh ::
