I don't exactly know where I would like to go with this, and I will edit this post periodically later on because I'm kind of tired ( Read more... )

Going along with Deshaun, Maniac Mansion was great! I still have to beat that damned game.

But let's see... If you have a Dreamcast There is Resident Evil: Code Veronica (The original) which is still good IMO. Also there is Carrier, which was more or less a sci-fi RE type game. A little fast paced at times, but sometimes too slow for anyone to really enjoy. Atleast that is how it was with me.

There was also Blue Stinger, but I never played it. People said it was Ad! So bad, you don't even need the B for it.

Chris mentioned Illbleed, which was an interesting game. Fun except some parts of the game, but it was still a survival horror type game.

There is Dino Crisis 1, 2, and 3 but 3 is more or less a hardcore action game rather than survival horror. 1 was great when it came out and introduced a few interesting aspects such as losing your weapon in an encounter and walking while aiming. AI was a little smart as well... Aside from some minor glitches.

Silent Hill is always good, but sometimes you might want to put your head through a wall in figuring out what you have to do next.

RE:Outbreak is a nice little try as far as Survival horro goes as well. If you'd like, i can loan you part 1 and 2 and see how you like them. I know you've seen me play them and you didn't seem to like them, but I think it's time you broaden your taste in games aside from sticking to RE 1 and 2.

Clock Tower is another good one. If you can get your hands on an emulator and play the original one for the SNES, then you have yourself some gold right there. I am not certain about the other Clock Tower games since I never played them or knew anyone who had them, but apparently U.S. 1 and 2 were eh.

Hmmm... Ok, now here is a pair of games you might not have heard of in a long time: Galarians. Shana owns the first one and there is a second part avilable for the PS2. Kinda RE-ish but still good. Had an interesting aspect to the game and some features which made it really fucking cool.

Also, there was a game released only in Japan by a company called Koei (I think they're responsible for Dynasty Warriors and Destrega) titled "Enigma" and it was a survival horror type game with 3 playable characters. I am not sure what the story line is, but the game was centered around fighting when you had to. You run into an enemy, get into a fist fight while performing 10 hit Tekken strings and so forth. I liked it, but it is hard for me to find these days. No US release at all. Bummer.

That's all I can remember off the top of my head at the moment.
