[Downtown in Raitou this afternoon and evening, there is a sizeable group of people in blue in front of a fairly large screen set to view a soccer game. It is loud, and there is a lot of fairly hilarious and irritating buzzing, but all in all it seems like a fantastic time to be had by all. The World Cup generally works that way

Neither do I. I wouldn't mind it going into extra time but by the time we get to a shoot-out, our players are probably going to be too tired to think.

Have to wonder if anyone outside Paraguay wants them to win. Probably not.

Considering how many South American teams have been put through, I'm sure anyone not from there would just like someone else to have a shot.

Yeah, seriously. If it ends up being all South America, I'm not watching anymore.

I'll probably still watch, but if Japan is knocked out of the competition too I won't have much reason to get excited.
