[Downtown in Raitou this afternoon and evening, there is a sizeable group of people in blue in front of a fairly large screen set to view a soccer game. It is loud, and there is a lot of fairly hilarious and irritating buzzing, but all in all it seems like a fantastic time to be had by all. The World Cup generally works that way ( Read more... )

Neither do I. I wouldn't mind it going into extra time but by the time we get to a shoot-out, our players are probably going to be too tired to think.

I'll probably still watch, but if Japan is knocked out of the competition too I won't have much reason to get excited.
