Damn, did I drop it again?

[Hoho.]

I think so. I can't find my reeds.

Ah, you're a musician? W-well, have you checked your classroom? I forget things there, sometimes.

Yeah, I play clarinet and saxophone. I've checked there, but nada.

Ah. W-well, they might have some extras in the band room? That's usually how it works, right?

Probably. Come to think of it, I haven't looked there, yet. I like to keep track of my own, though. There's sort of an affinity, you know?

Oh, believe me. I, ah, understand completely.

[And that's when he opens the front, smaller compartment on his backpack to show it packed full of thumb drives and CDs.]

I keep all my tracks and samples backed up, j-just in case.

[Impressed whistle.]

You're a DJ? That's pretty cool. I play a bit in the symphonic band, but I end up helping at the music shop in my spare time too.

Yeah, the posters in town are mine. I-I've been trying to get a show or two in Iwatodai or Okina, but it's slow going...

T-the one in town? You guys are great! I was able to, ah, g-get a new turntable last week when my old one wore out. I thought I was going to have to cancel my show, but, y-you guys really came through.

Oh, I see. Yeah, the Inaba crowd is a little old fashioned, but there's a few clubs in Okina you could look into. Hah, the buzz not long ago was about some enka singer. [He seems to all but roll his eyes at the genre.]

We're glad to hear that! My folks started up the place, and we've always been sorta small. But we strive to give good service, and we provide a niche that Junes can't really compete with.

...Enka? Really? [Kind of said with the same tone one would reserve for someone vomiting at your feet.] I supposed it's, ah, old world traditional...

You guys are seriously good service, and if I need anything, y-you'll be the first people I talk to. You... you guys wouldn't perhaps be able to get a piano in? I mean, possibly. I don't know if we could fit a piano into the apartment, b-but I need some samples and a keyboard won't cut it.

A grand would be a bit tricky, but there's an upright in the back for local kids that want lessons. I'm sure it would be no problem.
