Damn, did I drop it again?

Ahh, yeah. I thought my reeds were in my locker, but...

Did you look in the band room? Sometimes I leave my sticks there.

Oh, no I haven't! And here I forgot the first place I should be looking.

You in the band?

Sometimes it's easy to do stuff like that.

-- Uh, yeah, I am. Drum player.

[Sigh.]

Tell me about it.

Oh yeah? Clarinet in band, though sax is more my thing outside. But it's not like the music club is big enough to support a jazz section, you know?

Really? That sucks. Maybe you could ask a teacher about it...?

Hm. I dunno if it'd fly. Yasogami's not a bad school, but it's still pretty small as far as they go. I don't think the band itself has the budget.

It's cool, though. I play on my own, and help with lessons at the store sometimes.

It'd be nice if you could get a bigger group for it, though.

Yeah. Even people just to improv with, you know?

[nod]

Even for me, it'd be nice just to drum with someone else...

Tsuragi Tomiko. What about yours?

Ishida Seiji. My parents own the music store in the Shopping District.

I suppose. Helping out there's like any part-time job. Lots of lifting things. But I should be grateful they're showing me the ropes.
