It's kind of small, so there's not enough on it to make anything big, but...I was thinking since it seems like we'll be living here for a while, I'd make an altar for my family. Doesn't seem quite right to keep living here for who knows how ( Read more... )

That's a wonderful way to honor your ancestors, Sano. I'm glad you have fond memories of them.

Raine-san! Do you have summer festivals where you're from?

I miss my family a lot, but I did before I came to Sieben, too...anyway, it's good to pay respect to them, right? They were good people...

We do have quite a few festivals. I participated in one while in Asgard. They asked me to be the Shrine Maiden and perform in a ritual.

Of course. I would love to see how you honor them.

That sounds exciting! The town I grew up in had a festival where people would take these big portable shrines and ram them into each other...it was a lot of fun! I always got roped into being on one of the teams, hahaha...That's one of the fall festivals, though, and I don't think I could make something like that...

Would you like to help if we do have a festival, then?

[ooc: Truefax. Sano's from Matsuyama. Records don't exist as to whether or not he participated in it, but come on!]

((OOC: I think Raine likes these festivals already! XD))

I'd love to help, Sano!

Great! The one I'm thinking of holding...well, usually you're supposed to tend to your ancestors' graves, but I can't really reach those here. And their spirits are supposed to come and visit at the household shrines...there's offerings, and dancing, and, you know, festival kind of things, then you float lit lanterns down a river to help them find their way to the spirit world again!

[laughs] I'm sure I'll need the help, if I'm going to be building things and keeping up with my work, too...
