My mother can at times be infuriatingly absent-minded. A letter arrived at my house in Nelson a MONTH AGO, and it was from the donor of a scholarship that I had won. In the letter, the donor had requested something of me, meaning that she wanted a reply from me (I know this because my mom opened the letter, which surprisingly, doesn't bother me all that much). So do you think my mom sent the letter to me right away. HELLS NO! She had no stamps, fair enough. But she goes to shops that sell stamps at least every other day. Furthermore, she works for the government, and considering the amount of crap she took as "souvenirs" when her regional office closed, you'd think that she wouldn't have any problem using the auto-stamper at work. But no. I sent her an email today asking whether she had sent the letter. She said no but that she was going to buy stamps after work. What angers me the most though was that she got pissed off when I told her to light a fire under her ass because I had to reply to this donor, and I've already committed huge brutta figura (for the non-wops: this means I look like a social ass-hat) by not replying given the fact that I technically received the letter a month ago. AHHHH!
