Costuming Fun
So today, after much nagging of the parentals I finally hit the nearby Goodwill, and managed to score as good an 11th Doctor jacket as I think I'm gonna find. It's a little small which makes me kind of EHHHH, and it has one too many buttons, and it needs elbow patches, but I can just remove that extra button and just...not close the jacket, and attach some elbow patches. So basically all I need now is a matching pair of blue suspenders and a bow tie. I also picked up a fedora-like hat since the real thing would probably cost way too much, so there's that too.
Because fedoras and bowties are cool.
I've managed to kill two birds with one stone and get both a Rose Tyler and an Amy Pond wig from the same person (friend of an online friend!), and so once those arrive, plus the Rose Tyler shirt I bought in on at the dw_cosplay community, I will basically only need a decent Amy Pond red plaid shirt (sweet Jebus I would give my right arm to get one), and I will have three Doctor Who costumes ready to go!
I'm gonna put my Resident Evil vest on hold until I get more money. This gives me more time to focus on getting all my Who shit done anyway. I still have plans to do a Curse of the Black Spot Amy Pond costume, but any more of that one will have to wait until Hallowe'en so there's nothing more I can do with that one but wait. Even though the waiting is the hardest part.
