it is once again that time of year!
Okay, people, it's up to you! It is the time of year when I need to set up my automatic payroll deduction for charitable donations, and therefore need to decide what charities to donate to over the next 365 days. Last year's beneficiaries of my wealth and fortune consisted of the Ms. Foundation, my local Planned Parenthood, and the HRC. The year before I also donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and they may also receive a donation this year, although I'd love to find an alternate/additional AIDS organization to contribute to.
I'm thinking of deducting $250 this year, instead of last year's $150, which gives me either more money to one of the above charities or additional charities (I generally break it up $50 apiece). So now I reach out to you, my trusty, wise and giving friends, to throw ideas for additional charitable works my way. Got a cause? Speak now, maybe I'll throw some money at them! Any and all causes welcome (that aren't, you know, YOU, LOL!).
I need to submit this pretty much first thing Wednesday at the latest....so please take a second now to think about it and give me ideas. :)
