the world is just unfair sometimes.
So, last week, we had the family emo.
Work has been a motherfucker and a half for....god, probably a month now. (And shows no signs of stopping over the next month.)
And then today brings with it a cancer diagnosis for my aunt's mother (who's also like a mother to my mother and has been a serious presence in my life for as long as i can remember).
(We've feared it for a few days, now, but you still hold out hope.
Always hope.)
Then, the coup de grace, I ended up offending a valued friend while trying to be considerate of everyone. (The road to hell...)
If this is how October's going to be -- apparently Mercury's in retrograde? AWESOME -- then please, just wake me up when November comes.
(ONLY upside: next week (NEXT WEEK!!!!) is finally settled. Money spent, tickets bought, rooms reserved and everything. Come this time next week, I will have me a BFF AND be packing for the beach.)
I wanna curl up in bed and sleep for years.....maybe the weekend will be better.
