(no subject)
okay, so i'm almost packed for florida tomorrow. now, i'm not bringing a computer with me, so hopefully i'll stay as far away from the internet and email as i can.
but before i go, i am in urgent need of vacation reading recommendations! i have a TON of books sitting here that i haven't read, but 99.9% of them are either academic in nature, or depressing. to put it in some sort of context, when i went to florida last year with my dad i brought a harry potter book (i think order of the phoenix, although my journal about it said half-blood prince?! i don't think so...) and running with scissors. that's the kind of thing i'm looking for: mindless reading.
so if you have any recommendations for kind of light-hearted fiction books that i could pick up either before i go or while i'm gone and read while i try to relax for the first time in a millennium, that would be much appreciated.
i worked something like 11 hours today, and i'm exhausted, but i'm not in bed yet. so i should get on that.
