so, sam is now gone, which makes me sad. we didn't go to the city on wednesday at all, and instead settled for going and driving around connecticut. we went all the way up to milford then drove our way back down. i had planned on putting sam on the train to spend the night with david and kat that night, but then we realized we had forgotten to bring clothes for sam, so we would've had to go all the way back to my house, and then we didn't. so wednesday night we had dinner at panda pavilion and we had this really good curry chicken dish that i could hardly eat cause it was spicy, but it was *really* good. and then thursday we went to see princess mononoke, which was actually alright, except that at the beginning it was all like, in and out of focus (like, seriously, it went in and out of focus like someone was fucking with it), so that hurt my head, then trying to figure out who was voicing the voices was distracting for a while. but it was good, except for the focus thing. because then by the time it was done, i had a bad, bad headache, and then by the time we got home, i was almost crying in pain, and i couldn't find my damn tylenol besides, so i just pretty much ended up passing out (after, of course writing this entry (which no one bothered to comment on, thanks a lot ;P) (ooh, nested parentheses! whee!!!)). then friday, we went to the city and it was awesome. i went to the met and i saw jackson pollack! okay, not him, but i saw autumn rhythm, which was SO INCREDIBLE to see up close. there's like, a knee or elbow print! like, several! and it's so hot. the texture, the colors......so awesome. and there was this incredibly beautiful dark georgia o'keeffe that i loved. of course i forgot to write down the name of it, although i think it's something like black iris, but it appears as though she has a lot of black iris', so i'm not sure what to do about that. but i took pictures of it. it made me happy. and i saw jasper johns' white flag, which was awesome, and several warhols, which just kicked ass. it's frustrating that the met doesn't have more of its collections online. oh, well. and then we saw david and i met kat, which was fun. we waited for an hour at the olive garden in times square (primarily because the sky opened on us and we wanted to get out of the rain) to decide we didn't want olive garden after all, then went downtown to the village where i tried to find the waverly and failed for the first time ever. see, usually i go looking for the waverly, and i get turned around, but i ultimately end up stumbling across it right about the same time that i've given up. but last night, i pretty much gave up right away, because i forgot that kat and david were vegan and i didn't know how well the waverly could adapt to that (though i'm sure it wouldn't have been an enormous deal, it wasn't important enough to risk, you know?), so we ended up just walking around and stumbling across this vegetarian asian-soul restaurant. and it was good, i had a smoothie and rice and tea and cranberry sauce, cause i wasn't feeling well enough for actual food when we ordered. then we were exhausted, and i had blisters on my feet, and we said goodnight to david and kat and headed home. then today we were gonna get up and go apple-picking, but we slept really late (well, sam did anyway, LOL), and then we ended up just going to get garden catering and go to the japanese mart and other places to buy important goodies and then we headed to the airport and then sam left. i was sad. that's all i really have to say.

umm........i bought a present and i'm nervous now. i wish i knew whether it's liked. i hate buying presents. it's why i'm so bad at surprises and the like. and.......mrow?

umm........yeah, really, that's all i've got. i'm gonna go catch up on some of the tv i'm so behind on now.

mwah!
