I've been working on a sequel to "I'm Awfully Fond of You" as I follow for the Kitty/Mindee relationship. I've been notebooking it mostly during my commute--not a commute from hell, certainly, as it could be much worse, but possibly from one of the higher levels of purgatory, although I just wrote a big chunk of it in my Nietzsche class (as I sat at two seats over from the professor, mind you, with probably less than a meter between us).* It began as a fluffy look at how dating one-third of a hive mind works, but it has mutated (how appropriate) into being at least in part about sexual identity in the XMM.** Which makes it much more ambitious, I think, and I'd really like if someone would look it over once I got it typed up.
*Without, I don't think, any appreciable loss of quality in either the quality of the fic or my appreciation of the lecture. Indeed, I think doing both at the same time increased my ability to concentrate by eliminating attention deficits.
**It makes me really happy that I've finally written this type of fic, especially as it requires a depth and richness of a certain type of characterization which just isn't necessary with "Whose bed is Dawn going to get thrown into this week?" In a way, it's really the first thing I've ever written that really explores what it is like to be gay. (It's probably appropriate, and no accident, that XMM is the fandom this fic got written in.)

Also, a question: do we know what state Kitty (specifically, the X3 version) is from in the movieverse, or just that it is one of the ones with snow?
