If we don't set high bars, how shall we ever excel?

Weekend goals:

• Eat a really good burger. I've been craving one all week, and I keep getting home too late to get a Five Guys one (which is a B+ burger, elevated by the fact that it's close by)(By the way, I only recommend Five Guys to people who really like super-flat burgers, which I do).

• Buy The Wordy Shipmates. I've been wanting to purchase it for a week, but again, I keep doing stuff and not getting to the bookstore. I really like Sarah Vowell, and I don't regret getting Assassination Vacation in hardcover.

• See RocknRolla or The Lucky Ones or Rachel Getting Married. Any interest?

• Buy cheese from Murray's and-here's the challenge-don't eat it. I want to have some cheese to bring to work next week, cause cheese always sounds delicious around lunchtime, but for the life of me I can't not eat the Murray's.

• Go out for a beer and not have it be a major event where tons of people are in town. Now don't get me wrong, last weekend was awesome. I loved seeing every single person. But I need a down weekend, you know?

So. Let's make this happen.

Also, I had a dream last night about reuniting with my high school drill team (gah), but in the dream I realized my drill team costume would make a great Halloween costume (if it still fits, oh lordy). Then I woke up and laughed it off, because I don't need a Halloween costume. Or do I? It's a Friday night, after all. Plans? (This is not to suggest that I'll actually dress up as my high-school self, or at all.)
