[The sensation of unknowing has been present with him since the early hours of dawn. A strange sensation that caused him to wake from his sleep amongst the pillows of his make-shift bed and feel that something was simple off about the day the moment his eyes opened. There is nothing in the air that perturbs him, nothing visible but simply a feeling that the axis this world sits upon is off and something stares at him out of the corner of his eye, something he can never catch fully, just a shift, a shadow, a glimpse of a memory perhaps. Yet nothing is developed, and the morning moves onward.
The dai has been absent because he has thrown himself into work. To fund his project, jobs at odds and ends must be performed to seek out monetary gain to get the supplies necessary for the primary objective as well as the facade that shelters them. If anyone is fond of dedication, it is he and shoving himself away from the others suffering by the same fate within this world is nothing he fears for he is rather a hermit than a social butterfly, untrusting of faces and wary of those close. Though this is nothing new and just something of his character, and today it is no different as he walks through the streets while the sun rises and brings life to the city, to open shop that creates the false image of the
BUREAU.
There is tension there, more than usual and it causes him to keep his expression severe and steps quick as single-handedly he opens the door, turns the sign and flicks on the lights that still he considers witchcraft, something unnatural compared to his world. A brief look around and a pause and he slumps down into the chair behind the counter, staring at the digital device he was assigned, rather preferring the journal-system the world had installed previously--this form makes it more difficult to reply, to speak with haste. So the dai pauses, reaches out and idly presses fingers against the clear screen.]
Strange morning.
[ooc: back from unannounced hiatus, apologies for the absence! Feel free to reply to his post or you can stop by with an action reply as well, either is fine.]
