[After taking on the mission of finding the original Star Wars trilogy, Darcy then contacted the Odinsons and they'd decided on a date for movie night. Date in place, Darcy went shopping for the ingredients needed for movie snacks. She got the stuff for cupcakes-- four different kinds. She got popcorn. Butter lovers, plain, and kettle corn (a ( Read more... )

Yes, brother, I am not incapable of doing a minor task. [Thor rolls his eyes and knocks the door, sighing at his sibling and nudging him slightly for even having to ask. Even so, it seems as if this would be a good night and even if he'll probably end up massively distracted from the movie by the food, he is glad to just have to company of his brother and his dear friend.]

[Aaaah! Door. Knock at the door. Darcy climbs over the back of the couch then fixes the blanket she'd laid across the back earlier. Reaching the door, she takes a moment to collect herself then opens it, flashing the brothers a wide smile.] Hey, fellas! Welcome to Chez Lewis.

[She steps back, allowing the Asgardians entrance. Thor had been over a few times before, but this would be a first for Loki.]

Good evening, Darcy. [Thor gives her a hug, stepping by his brother and setting down the bag of things he brought, climbing over her couch and slumping to sit comfortably. It's obvious he's been here before.] I brought what you asked for.

[Darcy leans into Thor's hug with a grin.] Snacks. Awesome. Thanks, big guy.

[She gives no reaction to Thor making himself at home. She's used to it by now. Darcy nods at Loki, coming in for a hug of her own.] It is. It's small and smells faintly of oranges...for whatever reason that may be. But it's home. [Darcy turns to look around.] I'm thinking of getting a dog, maybe.

[Thor rolls his eyes at Loki, shaking his head faintly.] Your wit is incomparable, brother. Truly. [And his own sarcasm is sharp as a knife. He's just intent on watching the movie and spending time with his friend and his brother.] A dog sounds like good company, Darcy. A large dog might be nice to have around.

Oh, the kitchen table should be fine. [Darcy nods and moves to show Loki the way. Even though the kitchen is...right there.] Now, Loki. Thor's learned his lesson in not chewing slippers. [She reaches over the back of the couch and ruffles Thor's hair softly before continuing onto the kitchen area.]

I don't know if I could handle a big dog. I'm so used to smaller ones. But I think if I got a Yorkie, you'd step on it.

You aren't the prince who causes wars. [He sighs a little but rolls his eyes at the comment about housebreaking. He's used to Loki's behaviour by now.]

Cats are not good company. They are fickle, their claws are sharp, and if they are anything like All Cat, they will sooner eat you than eat their food. [He tilts his head back to look at Darcy.] I assure you I'll be cautious of a small dog.

[Darcy giggles at the housebroken comment and nudges her shoulder against Loki's.] I have thought about getting a cat, maybe. But I just love how excited dogs get. Cat's are all "oh, you're home. Whatever." But dogs act like you were gone for three hundred years even if you've been gone for ten minutes.

[Darcy grins at Thor when he looks back at her.] I'll keep that in mind. Whatever my decision may be. I'll need to save up, though. Pets aren't cheap.

[Thor gives Loki a look for that and shakes his head faintly. He's not that bad about how much he eats but he does tend to eat a lot more than anyone else. Though less than what he did when he was mortal.] You are a kindred soul with felines, that is why, brother.

[He just lets them get on with discussing the pets now, instead looking at a couple of things on the table, absently curious.]

Oooh. Chocolate. [Darcy's eyes go big and she taps her chin as she tries to find the perfect chocolate. In the end, she picks one at random, and bites it in half. She makes a soft sound of appreciation. She lifts her hand to hover over her mouth, cheeks darkening.] That's really, really good, Loki.

I think it's more the first, to be honest. I think I could handle the upkeep. I'm not a very good cook, so I buy a lot of the easier stuff. Ramen and the like. Dog food and treats would be relatively easy, I think. But the pets, themselves? Expensive.
