Steven is one of the rare grooms I'd met who was really daring to serenade his bride. During rehearsal, he was full of ideas and even got James to sing 1 verse of the song before he 'sings-in' during 2nd march-in with Charlotte by his side. James and I were really impressed by his confidence - he sang this lovely song 爱的路上只有我和你 (You and Me on the Road to Love), which acted (I think) as a love vow to Charlotte. Not to mention was the fact that he was gazing lovingly and longingly into Charlotte's eyes all the while. Here's the lyrics:
I really had a lot of fun for this wedding, mainly also because the songs chosen were quite unconventional, for instance:
爱的路上千万里 (The Road to Love) - In fact this is the song which Charlotte's parents sang in their honeymoon tour bus! Hence Charlotte requested that we perform this song as their 1st march-in song!
And if you like Mandarin classics like that, you'll probably also love these two. I knew that the older generation among the couples' guests love them:
相思河畔 (By The River of Tears)
巧合 (Chance Encounter)
And I love this English classic by the Carpenters 'Jambalaya', it just makes you wanna dance!
