Bevlyn's thoughts: The Only You In The World...

Vincent and Agnes wanted a venue different from the typical ballroom setting for their wedding. Their previous outdoor location considerations like the Bird Park for instance, was waved off by parents and relatives as "too far". Luckily they found Palm Terrace at The Legends, which is very centrally located. The first feature to catch my eyes was the green carpet which floored the whole venue! The marquee which sheltered us from potential rainfall was not only majestic-looking but also gave a sense of mystic and romance with the coloured lightings behind.
Vincent had wanted to sing a Cantonese song 教堂的初吻 (The First Kiss In A Church) for Agnes after their 2nd march-in, but during his solo band rehearsal at the eleventh hour, he changed his mind and decide to sing the song that Agnes had preferred him to sing - 世界唯一的你 (There's Only You In This World). It was definitely a better choice not only because he felt more comfortable with the singing, but also he would then be able to give Agnes a surprise!
So imagine Agnes with teary eyes when Vincent really sang the song to her on stage. Previously during a separate rehearsal session with the band, she had already witnessed Vincent sing 教堂的初吻. But I think nothing can prepare you for the experience of having the man of your life serenading you in front of so many pairs of eyes. Agnes was so touched she soon requested for another microphone to sing along with Vincent. Needless to say, there were warm applause and cheers and shouts of encore!
The other highlight of the evening was another pair of volunteer singers! Diana and Jessica are cousins of Agnes and they were so sweet to each volunteer a song as dedication to the couple. Jessica, who still calls Agnes "Agnes-jiejie" endearingly, sang the duet 有你真好 (It's So Good To Have You) with me while Diana sang 給我你的爱 (Give Me Your Love). They performed so well we soon have requests from other guests to sing with the band!

It was our first time roping in Kangyang, an experienced guitarist/guitar teacher, for our performances. We had a great time grooving and hope to have more opportunities to work together in the near future!

I was pleasantly surprised when I found out I had to learn 有你真好 (It's So Good To Have You). The lyrics is very heart-warming, and cannot be more than appropriate to sing at weddings!
