Hsin Yeow's thoughts: The Book Of Love
Kudos to Jaclyn for remembering her first date with Ivann so vividly:
"Our first date was on June 12, 2002 and it was at Mr Bean. I decided not to order any food as I was pretty nervous and shy! Although I was very hungry, I only ordered a drink. But when I saw Ivann's food being served, I couldn't help it and I finished most of his food! I wanted to be seen as demure but failed badly!"
The date was not over yet!
"Thereafter we went to the movies. He chose the Japanese horror film, Dark Water. Darn! I'd already watched it just a few days ago. Since it was our first date, I acted as if I were really excited and eager to watch the movie so he went ahead and bought tickets. Throughout the entire movie, I just pretended to be REALLY REALLY afraid even though I knew exactly when the scary scenes were! I only told Ivann the truth a year later!"
Even the proposal story was unique:
"On the pretext of window-shopping, Ivann brought me to Hour Glass. There, he got me my favourite watch. He said it was a more practical gift than a diamond ring as the watch signifies our time together. Well, I thought that was a rather interesting way to propose! :)"
Bevlyn, Tony, Ivan and I had such great fun performing for Jaclyn and Ivann. As I recounted their first movie date, I could tell that many of the guests were tickled by the story. After all, many of us could probably identify with Jaclyn's emotions at the time!
Ivann was really a good sport. His friends requested that he sing a song, and he obliged readily, first by singing the chorus of the effervescent 我要你的爱 (I Want Your Love), followed by the evergreen Can't Take My Eyes Off You. The audience gave him several rounds of enthusiastic applause for his courage!

Wanted to email you all earlier but we had to rush to Bangkok on Nov 24 AM for our short trip. We only managed to return to Singapore this morning at 6.30am!
Just wanted to thank you all! You guys made our wedding a blast! The guests really enjoyed themselves and eveyone were still talking about it after the wedding! :)
