Hsin Yeow's thoughts: Four Words
Some couples prefer their weddings to be solemn and quiet affairs. Not Kent. He had a corny sense of humour, and he wasn't too shy to show it. Here's how he began his speech:
"To prepare my speech, I sought the help of Google, and I found this...
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet
So are you!"
Then he looked purposefully at the blushing Iin, who was probably too tickled to say anything.
He continued, "And now I'd like to thank Iin, for agreeing to marry me. I have just four words for her..."
He began singing, "You are so beautiful to me, can't you see, you're everything I hoped for, you're everything I need, you are so beautiful...to me!"
It was a touching surprise, orchestrated by Kent. Iin was moved beyond words. The crowd loved it, and gave Kent thunderous applause.
Perhaps Kent got the idea from Joshua and Xinhui's wedding, which he attended. I met Xinhui again that night, and she looked great!

P.S. I have to record this: the love story between Kent and Iin was documented in an animation video. Apparently, Kent and Iin were having a date at East Coast Park. While Kent was occupied by a phone call, Iin saw a rat scampering past her. She was so freaked out by it, she jumped into Kent's arms!

(Incidentally, it was Clarence's third wedding celebration that day. In the morning, he played for Jiexiang and Corine. Afterwhich, he attended a friend's solemnisation party at Hog's Breath before making his way to Grand Copthorne Waterfront for Kent and Iin's wedding. Whew!)

My only regret is that I did not have a chance to listen and enjoy your performance on that night. Will definitely engage your service again if I have another wedding dinner ya!
