So apparently the long-sightedness in my right eye is now sufficient for the weakest prescription lenses and I've developed astigmatism. I'm a borderline case for whether they bother to prescribe or not, but since I'm having trouble with reading this screen, glasses it is. And flippin heck, are they expensive!!! £200 for one pair with anti-glare

I think Amy paid nearly £500 when she had two new pairs a few weeks ago so i realise that it isn't too bad really, it just seems worse because it's a case of oh look, my computer screen is clearer now, rather than yay I can see - less of a justifiable expense if you see what I mean. But yeah, overall i'm just grateful my eyes are as good as they are.

The last pair of glasses I bought through the Internet and you can get them for a fraction of the cost. The only downside is that you can't see the frames except on the screen before you've bought them, unless you pay for a trial viewing (which is usually 2-4 pounds per frame).
