Ye Gods glasses are expensive!!!

So apparently the long-sightedness in my right eye is now sufficient for the weakest prescription lenses and I've developed astigmatism. I'm a borderline case for whether they bother to prescribe or not, but since I'm having trouble with reading this screen, glasses it is. And flippin heck, are they expensive!!! £200 for one pair with anti-glare lenses!!! Of course, I could have had two pairs, one with anti-glare lenses, for £140 but I'd already fallen for a pair of Oasis frames by then, and none of the ones in the offer were as nice a shape :( Ah well. They're not sexy geek glasses, those thicker black frames look fab on some people but my face is too small, they didn't suit me at all, so I picked thin metallic grey/green frames, kinda rounded off rectangular, almost hexagonal shaped. I might even post a piccie if I ever get around to buying new batteries for my digital camera.

So lunch and then I'm off to pick them up, and maybe this afternoon, I'll manage to be constructive without giving myself a headache or eyestrain - yay!

EDIT: I got a funky aqua case and cleaning cloths and a cloth bag with butterflies on them though so that obviously justifies the expense of the frames ;) Now I just have to get used to lines in front of my eyes where I can see all the edges of the frames, this screen is definately clearer though.

I also have a battery charger and rechargeable batteries - they supply them flat though (!) so i have to wait for them to charge before I can get the camera to work again :(
