Am feeling forlorn.

Okay, so I totally admit to staying up till 5AM watching the live feed of Michael Jackson's memorial, and getting completely worked up about it.

Then I gave up and went to bed, and woke up around 2pm, where lo and behold, the tv somehow knew, and was replaying it at the exact second I left off. It was eerie.

Anyways, Home my beloved Star Trek fic of doom has updated! But sadly she hasn't been doing daily updates anymore, which takes some sunshine out of my already grey life.

But I've stumbled on Convenience by annenburg which DOES update every day! Up to a whopping 50 comment length chapters! It has all the cliches which make such a fic fun, Kirk is in danger of losing his position on the Enterprise unless he gains another form citizenship, And of course the only answer is a marriage of convenience... with Spock. Then there's lots of drama, including possible mpreg, and mental bonds and whatnot. And while it does come off at cheesy at times, it does have something Home lacks. Sex. :D Yeah, I know I'm shallow.

Another fic I really liked in my adventures is:

As The Years Went By by keelywolfe who has always delivered great work.
Kirk and McCoy have a fucked up tradition every year on Bone's Birthday, but this year Kirk cannot make it, and sends Spock in his stead. NC-17, Kirk/McCoy, McCoy/Spock, Kirk/Spock and of course Happy Happy, gloriously filthy, threesome. I loved the voice she had for Bones, it was just that touch of angry and bitter and just so heartbreakingly alone, which makes Bones the most human of all the crew. Also holy crap does she write a great a fantastic emotive love scene. Well, not love, but. Actually not sure what I would call it. It finish it and felt that uncommon feeling of having a piece of fiction slide silkily into my personal canon.
