Summary: Jin's an all around nice guy, but Miharu's a slot machine of scandals.
Why: It's TEKKEN FIC I haven't read, which I was completely charmed by because it isn't often you find humour fic in this fandom that is well written, with everyone in character. Especially JIN who is so perfectly straight-laced, mysterious, dorky yet still, stoic. I liked how out-of-context this fic was, since from experience, fics in this eratically set fandom work very well without context, allowing for all kinds of displaced fun. Like getting Jin all drunk and mellow. Mmm.

Why: For a change, instead of SGA in Firefly, how about some Firefly in SGA? Fun and crackish and full of crossover goodness.

HOLY... DUDE, TELANU WRITES CHARLIE AND THE COCO FACTORY FIC (NB: Yep, Coco is still a hilarious shortening of Chocolate for me. It just is. Especially when I say it aloud).
Special Recognition GEN by somniesperus aka Telanu wherein Wonka has something to teach Charlie about running a business.
And In Camelot also GEN wherein Dr Wonka visits his son's factory for the first time.
Why: Because this was the fic I have been NEEDING from this fandom, this awkward, grown but childlike reunion where everyone is in character and no one is over the top except Willy Wonka, and Charlie, sweet Charlie is still the ordinary but sensible boy I've grown attached to. This is marvellously done, and feels exactly like a coda to the movie. You can visualise every scene and mannerism with little effort and that's the highest praise I can give to a Roald Dahl fic.
You can then take a gander at All the rooms in Wonka's factory. That list is awesome and would make a great challenge. The one labelled 'Children only' worries me a little however. Makes me want to shout OMG I KNOW WHERE Michael Jackson has moved to... or maybe it's just where the Oompa Loompas breed their kids. This might be their breeding room. Not quite sure which thought is more disturbing really.

Why: This? THIS is the *slash* fic I've always wanted from this fandom. The one where Charlie is grown up, but not that different, self assured and comfortable with who he is. This is the Charlie I want him to grow up to be, the hands on type of inventor that gets chummy with the Oompa Loompas, the physical contrast to Wonka's genius locked in the tower. It reads perfectly because this is what I see happening if he actively lives inside the factory day in day out. This fic never forgets that the place is huge, doesn't just wipe away the social dysfunction, but still manages a believeable working relationship and then, something more. One of those fics I would point people at after they've watched the movie and go, THIS is the future for these boys. It is lyrical and beautiful and going straight to my fanfic pedastal. Oh yeah.

Sephiroth as Tarzan, Cloud as Jane by RasereiHojo
Why: Three of my top favourite things combined into one, Sephiroth x Cloud, Aqua and SHEER HILARIOUS CRACK. Omg comedy. Gold. This just had me cacking myself. Best reinterpretation of those 11 minutes EVER. The lip sync should never have worked that well. But it did. This is brilliant. I think I broke something imagining Cloud riding elephants.
Ugh, am not going to survive for rest of month.
