Am suddenly struck with the need to eat sausage.
FULL OF WIN today since I finally found red hair spray that was cheap for the Reno cosplay I'm doing in 12 days. I looked all over the city AND three separate suburbs only to end up finding it in my local two dollar store. *facepalm* This cosplay is by FAR the easiest I have ever done (and probably the most comfortable). My hair is already in the Reno mullet cut (by total coincidence) and I have black suit pants. All I've had to do is get a second hand suit jacket (only $5!) and hair spray. Of course I could be awesome and invent some way to wire up a electric baton from batteries and cohesive plastic... but I have twelve days to think on this. And I've knocked one of my unfortunate friends into wearing a bald cap for Rude despite her being white, with loads of hair, and massively boobed (which we shall tame with the power of corset and tape). This is going to be awesome. And arlo_arleh is going as Tseng because... she can. We are excellent.

Summary: It was the Stanley Cup for dorks.
Why: This was the fic that, like the Mighty Ducks movies, made me realise that Hockey is WONDERFUL. It's the exciting kind of sports fic that makes you GRIN and CHEER at your screen and wonder about the outcome. What is it about seeing your favourite characters engage in competitive sport that is so appealing? Nevertheless, one of the funnest fics I've ever read that made me just grin for ages.

Why: If it's Miko's work, you know it would just ROCK YOUR WORLD. But this, this is the Happy-Ending-Scenario-For-Zack fic that I've always wanted to see her attempt BECAUSE I know I would be absolutely safe and thrilled with how it would turn out. That's right, Cloud finds a hidden lab and a certain someone who is in fact, not dead. I love post-AC Cloud in the sense that he's the more complete character, he's really got everything he's worked for and wanted in a round about way, he's no unhappy or too sad and Zack, Zack is icing on the cake. He'd shake that stability to bits and recreate it in his image and it's the kind of change I can't help but want to see. BUT NEW FIC BY MIKO. YOU SHOULD ALREADY BE READING.
