Feeling unhappy. My Uni tut almost failed me for bringing just a little light into those vapid people's lives. Pictionary is a king among all intellectual games, and it was completely relevant. I am bitter, but I'm also kind of afraid what evil homocidal thoughts are running through Amanda's head. That girl, when she almost fails is completely frightening. Feeling sorry for my other team mate Ben, who spent so much money and effort into the presentation. I've moped a plenty, but I've come to terms with the fact I had fun, and my academic luck never lasts. Still. Will to live, falling.
Bingeing on FFVII fic, should work on essay. Totally useless I am.

Pairing: Eventual Sephiroth x Cloud
Rating: PG-13
Why: I love time travel fics, especially the ones where uber powerful Cloud goes back in time to try and fix things. Sure, it's a cheesy concept and usually brings about the coming of the Cloud-sue, but this one has Cloud going back to the days of the Wutai War... yeah okay, but TIME TRAVEL. Whee. WIP though.

The Value of Sunscreen by bottle_of_shine
Pairing: GEN with a little bit of CloudxBarrett (yes, OMGWTFLOL, yet, strangely, it works)
Rating: Pg-13
Why: There isn't ENOUGH post FFVII fic that is completely GEN, that doesn't have Cloud somehow breaking the barriers of space and time with his emo. I like the idea of Cloud actually settling down with what he has. This is one of the few fics that convinces me that he is not unhappy, that he does have a new family and people who care for him. I love the imagery of them all on vacation, and the idea of Cloud in a flowery Hawaiian shirt is cute beyond words.

... which leads to the thought that if Sephiroth was having sex, he would totally do Iason's sexy hair flip. Iason is Sephiroth's gay idol, the silver haired General emulates and identifies with, (and secretly lusts after) him a lot... which is why he's so into molesting blondes. Zack questioned once, what that strange data disc labelled Ai no Kusabi on Sephiroth's shelf was about and was granted seeing Sephiroth blush and yank it out of his grubby hands faster than light. Of course, Zack being Zack took it upon himself to find a pirated copy and has since been shoving Cloud and himself all molestable and spry into Sephiroth's view ever since. In short, why does no one write about Sephiroth doing a sexy hair flip during sex?

Pairing: Kakairu
Summary: All things were not possible, it was true, but suddenly, Iruka knew that this was.
Why: It's been ages since I read Kakairu fic, and boy am I glad it is was this one. This, is the best canon/pairing integration I've seen yet, the get together fic I've always wanted in Kakairu, that doesn't contradict canon events or characterisation to achieve the pairing yet still manages to be sweet, hot and powerful. I love how Iruka is strong in this without being the Iruka-sue, and how there is a clear development of relationships rather than just working on established bonds. It makes me want to wave the OTP flag again.
