Well, the month I last updated this was the month I last got my hair cut, so I figured since I've recently updated my hair again, I would update this journal. Actually, the reasoning wasn't originally that, but I thought it was interesting.
So a semester has passed and I would say it was a success. I didn't kill myself yet, so that's always a plus. Classes were pretty good; better than I thought they'd be, mostly because I thought physics would be terrible. It actually wasn't bad, and our professor was pretty much my hero. He made physics endlessly entertaining, in a way that was pretty much completely unrelated to physics. My psych class was really interesting this semester too, and I feel like I would absolutely love to take Perception, but I can't fit it into my schedule for this coming semester. My other classes were good too; it was work, but it wasn't overwhelming. It was actually my extracurriculars, or the extracurriculars in combination with classes, that made the semester overwhelming. But that makes for a longer explanation than I'm willing to go into right now.
This semester should be less overwhelming, I think. I'm only taking three classes, so it should make more time to get everything else done, and I'll have less to worry about. I'd like to take four, actually. I decided that this break because I'm starting to panic about taking a lighter course load, for no reason at all. Nothing fits in my schedule though because while I'm only taking three classes, they all have labs, so I'm still in class for long spans of time. I'm hoping to get a job this semester. I know I said that about last semester, but there was just no time. When I go back I'm going to stop by the Cat Hospital around the corner, and I suppose if they're not hiring, I'll see what's up back at the Boston Cat Hospital, since I have more of an in there. Also this semester I'm going to travel more...well I guess only traveling once would be more than I have any other semester. But so far I already have one [semi]planned trip (I don't actually have a ride there yet) to Mt. Snow with Kaylan, and hopefully we'll have others as well. And who knows, I might be going off somewhere for spring break too, Greece perhaps? but we'll see about that.
This break has been pretty good. Christmas was crazy. We had three Christmases this year, then on Christmas night both my brother and I got sick. Gross. We were nauseous the entire day after, but at least we had an excuse to stay home all day playing wii, haha. Yeah, we both got wiis for Christmas, so I have one to take back to school. awesomeeee. The day after that was Shandra's 21st!! We went out to a hibachi restaurant where this sketchy dude decided to make himself part of the party and talk to us. He was too nice and he touched Shandra, so she must have hated him. Everyone went to Shandra's afterwards for more party, but I only stayed shortly because I had a flight the next morning. My family and I went to Lake Tahoe to go skiing. It was beautiful there but the skiing was not optimal. They hadn't really had snow in a while, and it was unseasonably warm when we went, so conditions weren't amazing. None of the diamonds were open, but that was ok; I hadn't been skiing in two years, so I needed to warm back up to it anyway. I also went snowmobiling for the first time ever. It was pretty awesome. We flew in and out of Reno, and there is gambling EVERYWHERE in Nevada, even the airport terminals. We got yelled at for being too close to the slot machines because we were not of age. You're apparently not allowed to be in the vicinity if you're not 21. If they didn't want us around them, they shouldn't have put them in the airport terminal.
Since I got back I've been working and seeing whoever is still here. Everyone has been going back already and it's sad, because I didn't really get to see them long. Work had been going well for the most part, though last weekend I wanted to kill everyone because pet owners are stupid a lot of times. Whateverr. I've also been fighting my brother for car use. Not so cool.
I believe I'm going back to school next weekend, I should probably inform my dad of that, as he's going to be taking me. I miss everyone up there, so it'll be good to go back. Not as good to return to the work and the schedule and whatnot though. I enjoy having time off.
