Who would have thought the last month before school would be so crazy?

A lot of that probably has to do with the fact that I've been trying to get everything set and ready to move into the condo, which we just did last weekend! yay for that being done, one less thing to worry about. I thought I'd never be able to get everything ready in time. There's still a few things we need to take care of, but we made a list while we were there so hopefully we'll be able to pick up everything we need to complete the process and bring it up when I go up to really move in. I still need to remember to buy school supplies because I've been so wrapped up in what I need to live that I totally forgot I needed notebooks et such as well.

Moving was an ordeal to say the least. We rented a truck on friday and loaded it with all the furniture and boxes and whatnot, then on saturday I had to leave work two hours early and go directly to the ferry. On my way home I dropped my phone under the passenger seat and couldnt get it out and my mom was calling me like every five minutes until I got home because she was worried we werent going to make the ferry and my dad had already left with the truck. So when I got home she was angry then I was angry about her being angry at me for things beyond my control and so that was fun. We made the ferry with time to spare. The ferry ride was actually really nice because it was so beautiful out. I sat outside on the deck and ate chicken nuggets and looked out on the sea and boats and it was quite relaxing....which was good because what followed was the most stressful experience of the summer. On the ferry they put trucks in the front so they're the first to get off, so my dad was waaaaaaaay ahead of us while we were stuck waiting to get off the ferry. He decided that instead of waiting, he would proceed onto I-95 and we could just catch up to him and then get in front of him because he didnt know the way and we have a GPS system telling us where to go. So basically my dad was driving off to no where in particular while we were way behind. Thennnn we got caught up in traffic so there was no catching up. He called us and asked what exit he needed to get off on so we gave him directions still hoping we'd be able to catch up with him on the next road. We didnt, then it turned out he missed an exit and was still driving down the wrong highway. He had to back track and get off on the right exit, at which time he was now way in back of us. My mom is crazy and was convinced he'd just catch up to us because of the way my dad drives but trucks only go so fast so then i was arguing with her that she had to go slower or we'd pretty much lose him forever and she apparently just wasnt getting that, so i called my dad and had him talk her her and that was enough to make her believe the truck will only go up to 70, so if we were doing 70 it just wasn't going to work. Finally after all that we were on the same road and each going at speeds which would allow everything to work out and about 20 minutes from Boston, my dad caught up with us. annnd pretty much everyone was angry at everyone else. fun.

Moving all the stuff in was exhausting and I think it covered my exercise for the summer. We moved in everything first and just put it all wherever we could, then we had to return the truck and get some dinner. Then it was back to work for the rest of the night...and day after. Everything turned out really nice though and I 'm really happy with it. It looks bigger with furniture in it. I'm also really happy with my new bed because it's pretty and for the first time in my life it's not a twin bed! wooo! The only problem is that it needs to be raised about a half inch or so otherwise my under-bed storage wont fit under it.

Anyway, so the area around it is really nice and there's a whole lot of cool places to go. Kristy will spend much of her time at the Starbucks across the street, I'm more than certain. haha. There's actually a Cat Hospital on the corner of the block our building is on so that's really cool...I'm not sure I can actually have a job at that sort of place this semester with my schedule...there are like two days I'm really free. Maybe three. I dont know. then there are other things I need to factor in like Bio Liaison, Sirens, Tutoring for A&P I and II and possibly stats....although maybe I'll drop one or two of those, then also being study group leader for Professor Lite, which I'll definitely be doing if she still wants me to. Maybe instead I need an on campus job because they tend to be more flexible with class schedules and whatnot. I have no idea where I'd work then and I dont know how Simmons hires. I suppose I'll check online or something. Ideally if I work on campus, I'd want one of those jobs where you mostly sit around and do homework. haha. gahh, i do need to make money this year though. Maybe next semester I'll plan my classes in a way that would allow me to work at the Cat Hospital, because that really is a 30 second walk from where I'm going to be living and I can get paid muchhh more.

Oh yeah, and I'd already been busy with club responsibilities....which could be going better. I'm actually quite frustrated about something in particular which has been holding things back. Now we're going to be going into this semester disorganized and scrambling to get things done. Great way to get things started. Blehhh. It'll work out though, I'm sure.

On top of everything, I've also been working at a Chiropractic office, a Physical Therapy office and my regular job this summer.
