Oh my goodness.......... STOP THE PRESS.
Sooo I mentioned in my last post how Leonardo DiCaprio was coming to campus today to talk about John Kerry.... WELL he was first off, joined by Jon Bon Jovi.. So I knew that Kelly & I MUST go.. As we are HUGE Bon Jovi fans...
So I go to pick her up this morning, and she's like "So how close do you think we can get?" and I was talking myself up sooo bad... Like about how I have connections and all this shit and how we'll get great seats. When I really had no clue at all :) Haha...
Well we get there, and I made her wear the Students for Kerry/Edwards t-shirt I got her.. And I'm like "OK, we look official so let's make our way up to the front.." So we had a great spot but the damn Daily people came and were stnading in front of us..
Then I see Hannah (who's an ISU grad that runs our volunteer HQ), and she's like "Hey, babe! Can you help me out?" and I'm like "Sure.." so she hands me a clipboard to get people to sign up to help volunteer.. So now Kelly and I look super official and we aren't going anywhere...
Well so I also know Gabe (ISU Dems President), and he goes to Miranda (a friend of mine from class), you girls come stand behind this podium b/c your t-shirts will make a good photo op behind them, and we can make sure no one rushes the speaking area...
I grab Kelly and we were in like Flint.... WE STOOD LIKE ONE FOOT AWAY FROM JON BON JOVI AND LEONARDO DiCAPRIO... It was AMAZING!!!
Pictures will be coming soon... They will only prove JUST how close we were. I love being a Democrat and living in a swing state.
Going to see John Kerry on Saturday.. The fun just NEVER stops. What am I going to do when this election is over? Homework? I guess so :)
So besides all that excitement tonight is the Halloween Bar Crawl. I'm really excited for it.. Should be a fabulous time. I'm going as a doctor that delivers babies.. Whatever those are called... Kelly's a witch, as is Teresa.. Nate's a proctologist.. And that's all I know for now.
