My constructive day:
Morning - due to lack of work, read the transcript of The Girls of the Hamlet Club. I'd never read an EJO book before and really enjoyed this one. Did EBD lift the whole Ruth Barnes/cheating at maths story out of this or what?!! It was also quite weird that they kept going on about John Hampden, because, when
helenmia mentioned historic taxes last week, ship money was one of the first ones I thought of. Sadly I have now read everything on the transcript site, though!
Afternoon - began re-doing a set of accounts that had already been done, as the client decided after the accounts had been finished that he wanted to change his company's year-end, and, even though there's no way he'll pay twice, Grumpy Miserable Boss is so scared of losing business that he agreed to it.
Oh well!
Tonight the Cup replay is live on BBC 1, which is good.
Feel a bit stiff today - wish I could say it was due to having done lots of exercise, but it's actually from when I fell over on the kitchen floor!
I've received a letter from the dentist, informing me that as I am an N.H.S. patient I will have "six week's" wait if I need any additional treatment after my next appointment. What is it about apostrophes that makes people keep putting them in the wrong places?!!
