i'm slowly and irritably getting through working nine days in a row... a feat i've never wanted to or attempted to accomplish. i finally got scheduled with no way out of it. trust me, i've tried finding any angle i could find. theres no way to get out of it unless i call in sick, but low and behold, i'm healthy as a horse, unless you call having your period a reason to call in sick, in which case i really should have called in today run on sentence.
yes. i'm slowly getting through "day two," which means i'm uncontrollably bitchy and irritable, and i'm whiney and complainy. sucktacular day. my boss was driving me crazy this morning, because, while she was in a decent mood, she still kept calling my name every 5 minutes it seems like, interrupting every other song i was listening to on my iPod. And then if it wasn't her, it was the stupid ovens going off every few minutes. i told you i'm irritable. every little wrong thing just crosses me, even if it's something i normally don't even think twice about.
blah. anyway, i write because i just agreed to dinner with History Friend tonight. ugh. i hate going out when i'm being an irritable bitch, because i feel like i'll just spoil the whole thing. im afraid i'll bring everyone down, which is a silly fear, but one i'd feel terrible about if it happened.
i also write because i'm in a phase where i love soundtracks. <3 So i have a lot of new favorites at the moment that i feel like sharing:
"Learning to Breathe" by Switchfoot
"You" by Switchfoot
"Eyes on Fire" by Blue Foundation (i know this isn't new...ish, but it's still damn good)
"Full Moon" by The Black Ghosts (ditto above)
"Operate" by Peaches
"Misty Canyon" by Anjali
"Dancing with Myself" by The Donnas
"Rip Her to Shreds" by Boomkat
"Ruby Blue" by Roisin Murphy
"Sea of Love" by Cat Power
"Burning Down the House" by Talking Heads
From which soundtracks you say? A Walk To Remember, Twilight, Mean Girls, Greys Anatomy s.1, Juno, and 13 Going on 30. Oh yes, we're on a soundtrack thing right now.
