it's been awhile hasn't it?  sorry about that.

History Friend and Fetus Fajitas are both moving back to Omaha tonight.  I'm super excited to get my friend back for at least a year.  They both agreed that Chicago was sucking the finances out of them, and they needed to move somewhere where they could get their feet back on the ground and earn some money.  She told me they were thinking about it two days after I left Chicago, and then confirmed it the day after.  I think this will be great for them.  They've already landed an apartment, and History Friend is transfering to the Target on Dodge, which i'm kind of glad is not my Target, but at the same time, it would've been nice to have a true friend at my store.  Its ok though, because now i can go stalk her at her job after i've finished with mine, and at the same time i can get some writing or reading done, or whatever.  I think it'll be good for the both of us.

I've been reading an awful lot lately.  I've been reading "The Wedding" by Nicholas Sparks for the past couple of weeks (regretfully, i haven't finished it yet, but thats because of other distractions), and i recently purchased two books last week, and i've already finished one called "Kissed by an Angel" by Elizabeth Chandler.  It's a trilogy around 700 pages total.  i read that in like three daysish.  Now i'm reading this book called "Evernight" by Claudia Gray, and it's like the perfect mixture of Twilight and Harry Potter.  I started it last night, directly after i finished the trilogy, and i've read it all morning, and i'm roughly 230 pages in and 2/3rds of the way through.  I'm starting to realize that i'm kind of a fast reader.  And when i bought these books, there was this other book i wanted but it was too expensive to buy called "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher, and i read roughtly 270 pages in 5 hours... in the store.  Thats about 2/3rds of the way through too.

what i haven't been doing is writing a lot lately.  i've got 7 chapters, each roughly 20 pages in length, written in my story that i begun writing in October, and i've reached a dead end.  I haven't the slightest clue where to go from here.  If my book were a road map, and i was trying to get from point A to point G, i got to B, C, and D easily without problems.  Then i got to E, but shakily.  I'm not exactly sure i like this path very much, and i'm so close to point G that i can taste it, but there is a steep drop between E and G where F has to be, and i'm now 100% positive i dont want to go there to get to G.

So.  Thats my problem.  I can either suck it up go to F and make it to G, and then rewrite my second draft (i am only on my first draft, i'm allowed some shitty plotlines), which i desperately dont want to do, or i can scrap 90% of what i've written, keep most of the good stuff, and reroute my way from A to G a second time, which just sounds exhausting.  As of now, the later seems like the better choice, but i decided i needed to get my mojo back.  (yeah.  thats right.  i said mojo.)  So, i'm doing what got me inspired in the first place.  Reading.  Maybe i can take a few cues from some already published authors.  I plan on rereading Twilight again, which was the series that got me writing in the first place way back in August when i had another idea for another book that somehow and indescribably spawned into the current book i'm writing.  Yes.  I think i need a boost of inspiration, and some guiding.
