Five foods I'm loving right now include tuna fish, fake Snickers (off brand Asda candy bars that are so obviously copied from Snickers), bramley apple pies, basmati rice (with plenty of salt and butter - a staple at dinner time and usually enjoyed 3 times a week), and beans (the English beans that are served at breakfast or on potatoes).
Five websites I'm loving right now include
etsy, a place to sell and buy handmade;
The Black Apple, who I discovered nearly two years ago through my love of etsy;
SouleMama, a crafty wife and mother who takes the greatest pictures, writes the greatest entries, makes the greatest things, and is a great (so far as I can tell from her blog) wife and mother;
Craft Sanity, that produces weekly podcasts on crafters and crafting - I find Jennifer Acherman-Haywood pretty annoying, but she interviews crazy cool people; and
The Occasional Baker, a med student living in British Columbia who makes the most beautiful baked goods and writes very detailed blogs about how he does it.
Five things I love to do right now include making Christmas ornaments, reading the newspaper, listening to podcasts from either the Kitchen Sink or CraftSanity, taking pictures, and spending the weekends with Clark Kent (so that pretty much means riding the bus into town and going to the grocery store).
Five places I want to go rather soonish include
Bath (the Bath Christmas Market starts on Thanksgiving),
Laduree (any of the ones in Paris would be nice, but the one in Harrod's in London is much more realistic...we WILL be going there once Linda comes to town), IKEA (to sit in
this chair before we buy it for our new living room - but in the appleryd red color),
Basildon Park (located in Reading and one of the locations for the 2005 Pride and Prejudice - something we might be able to swing while Linda is here), and to a coffee shop that serves sugary lattes with just half a shot of espresso.
Five things I'd like to buy include the new Andrew Peterson cd from iTunes, a new pair of shoes from Clarks, a food processor (as a stand mixer isn't really affordable), a cute welcome mat, and any of the 10 or so books I've bookmarked in the last week or so.
