For the MIscarriage Association we left our handprints (five:one for each baby we lost); Cancer Research where we wrote on a ribbon then tied it to the wire mesh; we blow-painted our mark on a wall for an infant mortality charity (not a name of a charity I'd heard of); and made a clay model for Epilepsy Charity. We made a donation for each one.
It was a very moving, tranquil experience. We were the only ones there so were able to take our time reflecting on each one.
Sushi: we decided we could take it or leave it after our first sushi experience this afternoon. Quite bland and a little boring after 5 minutes. I'm sure sushi lovers will unite against me for that comment ;-)
We didn't make it to the jewellery quarter. A quick check on the web revealed that most diamond items (it was our 10th wedding anniversary and that's diamond in the modern version!) were starting from £400. I don't appreciate jewellery enough to spend that much. BUT, I discovered the wonderful, wonderful world of Fat Face in the Mailbox. I feel as though this could be my new 2nd home! So bought a few items from there instead of diamonds :-)
