Turkey Day!
Happy turkey day, everyone. For those that celebrate it, of course. Helped mom make the apple cranberry pie with brown sugar topping, and the small individual mini apple pies... mom did/is doing the turkey, the green beans, the corn, stuffing, home-made cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes herself, unless she calls me out to help like I said I would, since I want to help out, tho I can make all that stuff on my own, and would like to make it all for Shaun sometime.
Tomorrow's Black Friday. Busiest shopping day of the year, annnnd.. yeah. I dont know where I'll be yet. Store Ron said he thought he had me on the registers, which is semi-okay, since I can ring, and I can do it fast, even if I'm on self checkout, i can still do it rather fast, like last year I was on the self checkout for the customers... wasnt too bad except for breaks... have to be told when to go on break, when we can go to the bathroom, etc.. I had 2 minutes to punch out for lunch before I would have been coached when I finally made it to the time clock last year. I had to leave a lady because her transaction froze when she was trying to pay some in cash, and some in credit card, and I had to go to lunch, so I asked Stephan to help her, since Brenda was due back in a minute, and Stephan didnt have anyone at his checkout, so I left and later was yelled at by Ida because appparently Stephan didnt know anything about the self checkouts. Hrmph. I was there to help them... But that's the way the CSM are; condensending and have to act like they're iin charge. They are/were hourly supervisiors just like I am/was at the time.
So, I'm actually hoping to be helping with carryouts with the rest of ICS, or getting things off the risers for people, or lifting things into the carts, or showing them where things are, etc. This way I can go on lunch when I want to, bathroom when I need to, break when I need a break.. etc. We're getting Quiznos for lunch, catered, which beats the hell out of the usual cold cut meat and cheese platters we usually get.
I work 4.45am till 2pm tomorrow, and we're encouraged to take a half hour lunch, to help keep customer service going. Nice overtime there, a bit, and yeah, I'm working for the reason of saving money at the moment, buuuuuuuuut I think I might be wanting my hour lunch. $4 for an extra half hour of the chaos on the floor.. =/= worth it to me.
Found my cellphone... my room was a mess, and it wasnt even in my room.. I had put it on my dvd case shelving outside of my room last night so I wouldnt lose it, and I forgot I put it there... *sighs at self*
.jp goes pretty well, still around ranked 9 or 10, depending. Got a top player rooming me insystem :P I feel loved. I should drop a colony in his system ¬.¬
