(no subject)
I continue with my moratorium on posting depressing facts about work, so I throw out a question I've been pondering. How do you store your SCA garb? I ask because I now have eight (!) kirtles (boned bodices with heavy skirts), five shifts, three petticoats, two formal gowns, a loose gown, two pairs of puffy pants, two t-tunics, a sideless surcoat, and a partridge in a pear tree. (And before you ask, yes, I have nothing to wear!) I have a 3' foot tall three drawer plastic thingy that deals well with all the small bits (detachable sleeves, headdresses, garters, stockings, etc), but I feel like I take apart and redo my closet before every event trying to find the kirtle or gown I want to wear. I currently fold my kirtles over and stick them in two big laundry baskets but it's just not organized enough.
