Ah! We had Thursday off because it was some sort of Korean Independence Day (it's the anniversary of the beginning of the 1919 protests against Japanese occupation), and so I went down to 시화 to get out of the city for a bit and to see Adam and Jason and all them. It was so much fun! We had a few beers on Wednesday night and then went 노래방ing (singing), as we do. I crashed at Adam's place, and we (Adam, his new roommate Jason, and I) watched movies and ate pizza all day. It was fabulous! It was exactly what I needed. I ended up staying there last night, too, because I didn't want to get on the subway and go home Thursday night. I was still able to get home in time this morning to shower, mess around a bit, and get to school in time to get all of my work done and then some.
Apparently, I'm going to be seeing those crazy kids again tomorrow--Adam's coming up for coffee tomorrow morning, and the whole crew's going out for dinner tomorrow night. On Sunday I'm going hiking with Anthony at 소요산 (Soyosan, Soyo Mountain) if the weather gets better; it's raining and cold now. I'd really like to go hiking because I'd like to get some good pictures taken soon. I hate living in the city where's there's not really anything to photograph. My camera's getting dusty, and I end up taking too many pictures of myself! :-)
So, I think I might be going to Africa for my break in December instead of going straight home. Jason, Adam's new roommate, was telling me about Tanzania and South Africa, and I'd really like to go there. It's going to depend on my money situation, but I think I'll be able to do it. If I can start being better with my money and not spending as much on food and whatnot, I'll be able to do it. I just have to stop taking taxis everywhere and stop eating out for every meal! I can do it.
