I am not afraid to draft pieces from scratch any longer!!!!
Now, I am still extremely slow at drafting, but I am sooo excited that I can now look at a photo (or a cartoon....LOL) and recreate what I see from pieces of existing patterns and making up the rest! Buying the french curve was one of my best investments yet.
So I am done with the actual front and back of my bodice, and am drafting my shoulder and neck accents now. I am so excited that I am actually doing this all by myself. I figure it is the least I can do when
coolscaryguy has made the prop gun AND is making me and another girl an extra costume for the weekend. He also made the patches for my Policegirl costume, which has helped me a lot. I know I could do it on my machine, but he is soooooo much faster than me...ha haaa! He is also driving, which is going to really save me some headache with the long drive back from CT coming up.
I also realized tomorrow is the Sevendust concert, and the weekend after I come home from CT, it will be back to Charlotte for NIN and Bauhaus. I think I am going to get
skunkhugger a shirt from the show as a small thank you for what he is doing for me and my "new" bug. WOW....I sure am glad I got a couple of orders in this week. Finding the time to do them should be interesting. Orders....Good. New month...new money even better!
