need vs. want
i need a really good day. a day filled with genuine laughter and deep conversation. i mean it; i am in desperate need of a really good day. jakob was short lived and will be filed under my mental 'bad taste in men' folder. sad, too, because we had a bunch of those really good days. the worst part is that i know i will have 5 of those days when I'm back in iowa later this month and i don't want to have those days in iowa anymore! i dont want iowa to be the only place where i am completely myself around people! i want that here. i need that here. i want to remain detached from the place i love so much because im sick of leaving it and having my heart hurt for so long after.
