Highly productive day. Really.

Our walk in the rain turned into a drive in the rain. Well, Rose did the driving. Something about not wanting speeding tickets, but since I've never had one I think she's just being rude ( Read more... )

fun adventures in normal people stuff, human-like adventures, rose is brilliant, humans have silly ideas about history, travel

I have no idea how you've never gotten a ticket. Seems...strange. *eyes you*

But we have both been to Ancient Rome, and it hardly seemed polite to let him continue under some of his misapprehensions.

Some of what he was saying was rubbish, wasn't it?

Or in a tent! Ooh, we could go camping! That would be fun when the weather's a bit better.

We should!

Not sure what to do now, since I had rather a late morning today and I'm not at all tired. Maybe spend a bit of time in the lab.... Are you tired yet, Rose?

I'll work in the lab with you, but I can't promise how long I'll be awake. :D

Well, it might have something to do with you doing 90% of the driving. And the fact that, in an emergency, the sonic screwdriver can scramble speeding cameras.

I won't deny that for a race without time travel, you don't do too badly. Sometimes. But there is still an awful lot of nonsense purported as fact.

We should!

Do they do two-person sleeping bags? I feel they should.

I'll work in the lab with you, but I can't promise how long I'll be awake. :D

:D Well I like the company. Maybe if we try really hard, we can get on the same sleeping pattern again!

*LAUGHS* Thought so.

Do they do two-person sleeping bags? I feel they should.

They do! I...won't bother telling you how I know that.

I'll just curl up on one of the chairs down there. :)

*PRODS* I'm not that bad, you know. Plus I've done some surreptitious camera-zapping for you in the past, so you're in no position to talk! :P

Are the chairs really that comfy? You shouldn't feel you need to stay on my account!

So who have you zapped for more? :D

*Eyes*

Let's just say that before you came along I wasn't exactly going to B&Bs on trips. When there were trips, that is.

Comfy enough. Besides, I've always loved listening to you playing with gizmos, so don't be surprised if I'm out pretty quick.

Numerically, or as a percentage of total trips?

Ah, this is pre-me, then? Does this mean you and Mickey went camping? XD

Then I shall, like a knight in shining armour, carry you off to bed with me when I decide to go. Or I'll ask Wall-E to put the bedroom next to the lab for a night, just to make things easier. :D

I'm guessing you'll tell me whichever one makes you look better. ;D

Sort of. If you count sleeping in the garden of a mate of a mate as camping.

XD I'm sorry I'll be unconscious for either of those!

XD Would I?

Numerically you've had more but that's because you drive more. As a percentage... well, I've not really been keeping track.

Sort of. If you count sleeping in the garden of a mate of a mate as camping.

Well... I suppose that's boring compared to New Earth or the moon or Platform One, but I bet you had a bit of a laugh, didn't you?

XD I'm sorry I'll be unconscious for either of those!

Well the carrying would obviously be very dramatic and all around sexy, but moving the bedroom would not be a hugely exciting experience!

Considering someone nearly puked on me, no. Not really.

Well the carrying would obviously be very dramatic and all around sexy,

I'm sure! The cover of a steamy novel, right there!

but moving the bedroom would not be a hugely exciting experience!

I think you're the only person on the planet who could say that and mean it. :D

Well, we've all been there. Too many times.

I'm sure! The cover of a steamy novel, right there!

I think we'd make an excellent couple in a romance novel, you know. Better than every other book out there.

Maybe so, but it really is all mechanical!

I'm a fantastic writer! I've met (and helped) Shakespeare, you know!

I think it might have to be a romance book without any sex, though. I'm not sure I fancy writing that!

*snickers* I don't think I could do it either. It'd probably turn out more funny than sexy. :D

And it could always be a fairy tale. Once upon a time Rose the Gallant was riding through the forest when she saw a handsome prince with magnificent hair locked in a tower. So she rescued him and they lived happily ever after.

Do writers of published romance books take that sort of thing seriously? Having read a few, you couldn't tell. I always assumed they were a joke.

And how come I don't get to do any rescuing? :P

Also, "happily ever after" should include more kissing and at least one hug.

Some people seem to take them serious enough. :D

Who says you were the prince?

KIDDING!

Yes!

People are odd. And personally, I find being willing to stick around to help me clean gravatnisk slime out of my hair to be far more romantic than anything in those sort of books! And that was rather revolting, as I'm sure you'll recall!

Who says you were the prince?

KIDDING!

:P
