1. I click my fingers at my screen to encourage the internet to go faster.
2. After him thinking King Boo was cute on Mario Kart Wii, I brought Matt a stuffed Boo toy on eBay. Worried that he might not like it if it wasn't King Boo thanks to some sticky tape, silver foil and cereal box I made him a small crown. Boo has since become a major part of both our lives and can be best described as our child.
3. Twice I took part in my junior school 5 a-side football tournament, getting knocked out both years in the first round. One year my sister won and was annoyed that she picked some random person she didn't know on her team instead of me, especially when that person turned out to be useless. I also got annoyed when I had a throw in, decided to pass the ball to someone else but it was counted as a hand ball.
4. I can't for the life of me remember who my year 1 teacher was. Reception class I had Mrs. Baraclough, Year 2 was Mrs. Walker, Year 3 was Mrs. Garside, Year 4 was Ms. Luby, Year 5 was originally Ms. Newbrook but eventually replaced by Mr. Millington and Year 6 was Mr. Heyes with some lessons with Mr. Wrenshaw. And yet I don't have the remotest idea of who my Year 1 teacher was. Annoyingly I've had a similar point so I'll go on... Mrs. Walker used to be so we had substitute who reminded me of a librarian with her 'peering over the top of my glasses' look. Also the reason Mrs. Newbrook left was something to do with a baby. On day she left we were 'taught' by Mr. Lowe the head teacher, which involved being the first to find places on a map for the reward of sweets. I got a lot of sweets.
5. My current phone is an E65 Nokia. I broke the screen a while back and had it temporarily replaced with a 3310, and rather than being judged people were just jealous that I could play Snake again. My phones are mostly Nokias except the flip phone I had for a few years.
6. My 'snog' record still only has 2 guys. I don't mind this, except for the fact the girl snog record is on 4, which kind of makes me laugh.
7. Next year I will be living with Jenny, from my last house, who does English, Fran who also do English, who as I know as the ex-President of the Warwick Anti Sexism Society as we organised a ball together, and Jenny knows her via English and also Adam, who only Fran knew who does Enginering but seems like a nice enough kind of guy. We'll be living off Hearsall Common which is a lot closer to where Matt lives then I was this year.
8. According to iTunes my top 10 most listened to songs are:
- 318 Plays - Don't Stop Me Now by Queen
- 233 Plays - When You Were Young by The Killers
- 206 Plays - I'll Be There For You by The Rembrandts
- 201 Plays - Mr. Brightside by The Killers
- 170 Plays - Ironic by Alanis Morissette
- 164 Plays - Grace Kelly by Mika
- 158 Plays - Accidentally In Love by Counting Crows
- 151 Plays - Bad Day by Daniel Powter
- 150 Plays - You're My Best Friend by Queen
- 145 Plays - Your Song by Moulin Rouge Cast
Analysing that a bit, I don't listen to most of these songs that often anymore with a bulk of those plays coming from a while back. The newest song would be Grace Kelly, and the closest a song has got to being in the Top 10 since then would be Shine by Take That which has 123 plays and is currently 17th. I don't get obsessed with single songs as much anymore is the point. Though Real Girl by Mutya Buena has done quite well to get 99 plays.
9. Mine and Matt's song is Me Against The Music by Britney Spears and Madonna though perhaps more accurately
French and Saunders take off of it. Random I know, but it's full of inside jokes and reminds of the beginning of the relationship.
10. I am currently listening to Make Your Own Kind of Music by Cass Elliot, known for being in The Mamas and The Papas who did Californian Dreamin'. However I know this song because they used it on Lost a couple of times. But it's one of those happy uplifting songs I quite like.
11. I often make Madeline McCann jokes, usually along the lines of spotting blonde girls in the street and shouting out 'They've got Madeline!' There was part of me that felt bad, but it was funny, especially with Matt, and also I now realise it's what The Sun calls news, so you know.
12. When I was in Year 6 I went to a place whos name escapes me right now with the school. It was a camp type place with fun games in the evening, fun 'Duel' gladiator things, bike rides, zip wires, absailing, and so on. I slept in a caravan.
13. An inside into the buses of my life as I did when I was in college. This time we have 4 buses in my life last year. We had the main bus, the U1, which went directly from Leamington to campus, they are big pink double deckers. I'm not even kidding. Then on Sunday (and previously Saturday) they go all the way to Coventry, but less frequently, and they're the U2 (the bus driver isn't Bono), the main bus IN Coventry would be the 12, which is quite cheap and is what I get to Bows, or Matt's house occasionally. My favourite bus of the year (how sad does that sound) is the X17, which I could get using my bus pass but went right near Matt's house. I liked it cause it was a single decker, went through the prettier parts of Kenilworth, it's when I started reading books on the bus, and except when school kids were on it, the bus clientel was nicer (ie: old people instead of students). This... was a really long point.
14. Speaking of books, I've realise I've read more this year than I ever have in any other year. This summer alone I have read 7 Harry Potter Books, The Magical Faraway Tree, John Barrowman's autobiography, Dan Brown's Deception Point and a random book my sister lent me called Man and Boy, about a 'single' dad. Don't know what to read next. Last term I read at least 4 books as well, so in the last... 5 months that is at least 15 books! And now I've brought even more to read!
15. Things that make me lose the game include Octopuses, Rick Astley, the word GASH, people's mothers, a particular Sainsbury's in Coventry, the shop Game and it's many, many outlets, as well as many many other things.
16. I always adopt the accent of the person I am singing along to. My favourites of the top of my head are probably Alanis Morisette and Kate Nash. Alanis for her wailings and Kate Nash for her little bit of common attitude.
17. I made my first eBay profit! I brought a bundle from Game of a preowned Playstayion, FFVII and Metal Gear Solid for £20 (actually £17.50 cause I had loyalty points) and sold FFVII for £19.50, MGS for £12.50 and the Playstation sold today for £7. Bargain!
18. The first time I went to sleep at 4am this week was because of
this game which is addictive, and annoyingly difficult. I beat it once and haven't looked at it since. Luckily.
19. I met Matt in Coventry train station. I owe two people for my relationship, other than Matt and myself of course. One is Kayleigh, a drug addict, but the good kind. The kind that is so impossibly happy, jolly and optimistic that it had to be drugs. Anyway, she made a silly comment about the stairs we were going down, which being me, and being aware of 'new cute guy' made a silly joke about which he actually found funny. Secondly is Katie who I had said 'I like this guy' to, had said to him the same thing. And by the way, it's really hard to ask someone if they want a drink, when you have to get your own drinks and the bar is free... but still.
20. On New Years night this year I smoked weed. I have only done it that once, and haven't ever had an actual cigarette.
21. Every time I am introduced to a new Doctor Who assistant I like them best. No one could replace Rose... until I met Martha. And who could be better than her? Well there is Donna I guess... but this can only be a good thing as it means I will keep watching the show! Let's just hope they don't ruin The Doctor.
22. I have a specific pen I use for writing cards which I won at one of those random school award things, which I used to win a lot. I have several random books and things because of it. It's also why I have two 'good' calculators. I seem to win calculators a lot.
23. I own a door stop with a little plastic crocodile on top of it, and have owned it for about 10 years.
24. I like every type of fruit that I can remember trying... except Grapefruit. Grapefruit is one of the most disgusting things in the Universe and grapefruit juice once almost made me throw up it was so disgusting.
25. I once owned an egg shaped rubber ball which I drew a Weebl like face on it. I also owned a slug called Gary on wheels. They both used to accompany me to school. I still have them somewhere.
26. When sharing a double bed with Matt I sleep on the right. When sharing a single bed we take it in turns to be up against the wall.
27. When in Junior school I was one of four children who looked after the library. We got one girl kicked out of doing it though because she was lazy. Our biggest concern was what colour all the stickers were, and we restickered stuff, and also which plant we had on our shelves. It was basically in the corridor between the two parts of the school which you were rarely allowed through.
28. My favourite Pokemon is probably Charmander.
29. One of my favourite adverts is the Christmas Coca Cola adverts, but only the ones with the trucks, and the 'Holidays are coming!' chanting. It's not Christmas without it.
30. During my school holidays between year 7 and 8 I attended a two week summer school thing at New College which involved learning about electronics and IT, as well as Law which culminated in trying to catch a 'fake' robber. oh! And there was media too. We filmed a coke advert funnily enough. On the last day they gave us a bouncy castle to play on. And that was the day Goblet of Fire was released.
31. I've only been abroad twice, once with the school, once with my family, both to France. With the school it was to Dieppe and with my family it was Disneyland. At this point I was shorter than my dad, which is funny as I'm now taller than him. My favourite ride was basically a rollercoaster where you got shot up a bit steep hill, then road the rollercoaster in the dark. In fact there's a picture of us on it in the downstairs loo.
32. In primary school we did small plays which parents could come and see, and each class did one about once a term. My class once did an interpretive dance about the planets. I'm not even joking.
33. We also had a 'harvest' assembly where we would bring in food to be donated to whoever it was donated too. And with it came one of my favourite songs-the-school-used-to-force-us-to-sing.
"Cauliflowers fluffy,
And Cabbages Green.
Strawberries sweeter,
Than any I've seen.
Beetroot purple,
And onions white.."
And so on.
34. I own a giant fork, as in a Halloweeny one, the type Satan has in stereotypes. I brought it for first year Halloween, sawed a bit of it off, and now it lives on top of my mirror, which is also did in Leamington.
35. The game I'm most looking forward to getting when I get a PS3 is Little Big Planet.
36. The character I use the most in Super Smash Bros. Brawl is Olimar from Pikmin, though I also like Toon Link and R.O.B.
37. A grandfather I never see anymore used to call me Rib-stitch, mainly because of my skinniness. I called him 'Snowy' because he had white hair. Man, I was good with the nicknames huh?
38. I always watch a bunch of christmas related episodes of things on Christmas Eve.
39. Computer language wise I have dabbled in Visual Basic, Java, C and C++ to my knowledge though I've probably forgotten something.
40. I supported Hillary Clinton through the primaries, just for the LOLs. You can't spell 'Hilarity' without 'Hillary'... if you mispell Hillary... or Hilarity.
41. I only regularly contact on friend from secondary school now. HI BECI! But that's bad. Losing contact with people is one of my worse habits.
42. Me and Beci once came up with a (joke) plan to attack the head teacher if he introduced uniforms. It was construced in a maths lesson, which the second half looking like
this... THE plan!43. My MSN picture is currently a small dinosaur called Chester, exclaiming 'rar!' He's cute.
44. I'm amazed, reading through the last three of these I did how much I seemed interested in writing, and that's when I didn't actually do it as much. I apparently am impressed with it as a skill, wish I could take classes or get a teacher to get better, and weirdly enough named any type of writing job, books, TV shows, movies, comic or journalism, as my dream job. Have I been looking at this wrong? I've always written, since I was child, making up stories for English class and in my spare time. And it's increased again recently into vaguely credible stuff. Though I need to make time for it more, and FORCE myself to do it. And also blog more. And maybe actually persue it as a career? Who knows.
45. I currently have 195 facebook friends.
46. I invented a system involving an E.P.I.C. or an emergency pot of ice cream, for emo situations, in my first year. It was generally Ben and Jerry's and in case of emotional emergencies the seal could be broken. I don't have one anymore. I don't have Ben and Jerry's as much any more!
47. The song 36D by Beautiful South reminds me of my friend Carly's breasts. She has a cracking pair.
48. All my hallmates in first year called me Jazz, and it really caught on, but only in my halls!
49. I once made peanut butter cookies as a child. Saturday used to be baking day. My sister used to make 'traffic light' biscuits, with all three colours on them.
50. Last year we had a whiteboard in the kitchen to write various notes, todos, as well as many many doodles. In fact I wasted much time doodling pictures upon it.
51. Acts I have seen live include The Darkness, Pink, Ash, The Klaxons, half of B*Witched, the Vengaboys, and The Foundations.
52. I have lived in house numbers 204 (Woodside), 31 (Little Dawley), 50A (At University!), 63 (Leamington) and 1 (Stirchley). Next year I'll be at number 4.
53. My best GCSE result was Science with an A*, as well as A's in Maths, History, Art and Graphics.
54. I'm a lurker in a rarely updated
LOLbees community. Think LOLcats but not.
55. I can do the entire
Torn mime routine which I once did in front of people at Karaoke!
56. My most recent pets were two fish called Tuna and Sweetcorn. Then we had a spait of fish deaths where them, and a couple more after that died. I never knew those though.
57. I love prepacked sandwhiches. There's something awesome about them that you can't replicate in your own sandwich, as good as they can be. I love Chicken Salad, Salmon and Cucumber and Egg and Cress the most, especially when followed by a packet of Walkers Ready Salted.
58. Last year I actually replaced many meals with this, especially when I had been at work, and also I used to buy egg custards to go with it. All from the Somerfield near my house. Another strange meal I had was a tub of strawberries, a bar of chocolate and a pint of milk.
59. While I am gay for all purposes of the word I sometimes think certain females are really pretty. The first one was Nelly Furtado though I got over that, and most recently it's been Elliot in Scrubs. I either like them in a really gay way, or a slightly straight way. I'm unsure, but who cares.
60. I own T-shirts featuring the Superman logo, Homer Simpson and Mutley from Wacky Races.
61. I have only ever purchased one song off of iTunes, and that was The Pogues - Fairytale of New York to try and get it to number one at Christmas... but it failed.
62. I have never had an after alcohol kebab, though I did become a big fan of going for burger and chips and one of the best takeaways ever last year when I returned to Leamington. It was called Viallis, a burger meal cost the same amount as a Mcdonalds (chips, drink and burger), and was a million times nicer. Man I miss those chips.
63. I have three different songs entitled 'Girlfriend' on my computer. Bonus points if you can guess all the artists. I also have three different songs called 'Walk Away'.
64. I had a bad habit in my first year at University of going to the supermarket and either buy too much stationary or buying too many beverages. I once brought milk, rum, red bull and juice in one trip.
65. On my right foot my middle toe is longer than both my big toe and my second toe.
66. I can recite all of the colours from the song 'Joseph's Coat' from the musical Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat. It was red, yellow, green, brown, scarlet, black, ochre, peach, ruby, olive, violet, fawn, lilac, gold, chocolate, mauve, cream, crimson, silver, rose, azure, lemon, russet, grey, purple, white, pink, orange and blue! (Well I usually can but I forgot lilac, but still!)
67. My opinion of cats has changed. I never used to really like them, being a much bigger dog lover. And I think one of the main reason is LOLcats.
68. I was the narrator in the Nativity my school did. I also stood in for one of the three wise men when he was sick one day.
69. I now own at least 30 rubber ducks.
70. I became 'senior prefect' when I was in year 11, the first year of introducing prefects in my secondary school. It didn't work too well. No one listened to us. But it ended up in my University personal statement.
71. The six universities I applied for were Warwick, Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea, Sheffield and Aberystwyth. My insurance choice was Bristol.
72. Every now again I get really into my rubix cube. I'm quite good at doing them though I can never remember how to finish them after a while. But I can still do quite good.
73. I own books on both Welsh and Italian. I need to start learning one of them again. All I can remember from Welsh is 'Dwin hoffi coffi' because it rhymes (it means I like coffee) and 'diolch' which means thank you. I remember starting to read the Italian one and getting really confused what 'Ciao' meant. How did I know how you were supposed to pronounce it?
74. During the dying weeks of last term me and Matt finally completed a Times 2 Crossword. We've only been trying since our relationship began!
75. My favourite flavour of milkshake is Strawberry.
76. I was once in a pub quiz team called 'The Evil Herbivores'. Though we changed out name a lot. But that was our favourite.
77. Just in case you ever wanted to buy me a drink I like most kinds of cider, whisky and also Baileys. I hate gin and tonics though. Or just a nice cool coke will do.
78. Over the last week I have been learning how to hack Pokemon GBA Roms so they can do whatever I want them too (almost). It's quite fun. It involves making maps, changing settings and some scripting which is good logic training if not quite actual programming.
79. In June I only owned 1 watch, but now I own 4. Matt gave me one that was his, my mum gave me one that she got free and then Matt brought me one for my birthday. And they are all quite nice so I am keeping them all! My first watch is metallic silver with a blue face. Quite chunky.
80. About 80 percent of texts I receive are from Matt. This increases to about 95 percent now it's the holidays. The last text I received was ':) xxxxx' which was of couse from Matt.
81. One is my randomest fears is going to the bathroom at night and for some reason finding someone murdered in the bath. Not full of water, or suicide. Just murdered. In the bath. And if I don't turn the light on straight away I always have a slight feeling there will be one in there. I have absolutely NO idea why though, especially as finding dead bodies never comes into my head like ever! I mean I can explain the spider thing, but this? No idea!
82. My University id number is 0621917. My college id number was 0440487. I have no idea why I can remember that. Also my University log in (because they couldn't just use our ID like the SU does could they?) is csugca, pronounced (in my head) as ker-sug-ka. Everyone seems to pronounce their log ins. Matt is laugaj or l-ow-gaj. Well this point was pointless.
83. I once had a (really bad) Sims website for custom stuff for the sims. It was really bad and I just kept copying my friend who also had a (much better) site. By the end I wasn't TOO bad but I just gave in.
84. I also, even more unsuccesfully, started up websites and about Neopets and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. The Buffy one had a really nice layout... thanks to Beci.
85. I had a childhood girlfriend called Jenny. The guy in the local shop knew us as Fred and Wilma for no apparent reason I can remember.
86. I have 4 uncles and 3 aunts, and as a result, a truck load of cousins. I rarely see any of them except fleeting glances when I'm avoiding them when they are in my house such as Christmas. One aunt (my mum's sister) is getting married on HALLOWEEN in a gothicy wedding and my mum, who is normal thank you very much, is just like WHAT? I think it would be cool if I knew the family better! Just trying to imagine my grandparents there...
87. I have a half brother called Melvyn, after my dad. My sister contacted him after many years of being 'lost'. And yes my dad is actually called Melvyn.
88. I really love the sugared donut rings they sell in like little vans that have 4 to 6 from anywhere like £1 to £4. But they are really tasty when they are still warm.
89. Childhood activities included sliding down the stairs on the duvet, rolling down the stairs in a washing basket, going down hills on a skateboard and generally running around being stupid. It's amazing that I'm not dead or something. No serious injuries to my name.
90. I own a TARDIS money box in which David Tennant speaks to me when it opens to reveal him and Billie Piper and when it closes it makes the TARDIS noise and it's so awesomely cool. It's one of my favourite random possessions.
91. I own a stuffed toy which is vaguely German Shepherd like (really vaguely) and it's called Bernie after my dog. It even has a little lead. My mum got one each for me and my sister after he passed away. So he lives in my room with my various other stuffed animals.
92. Places I have applied too over the summer include Tesco, Woolworths, WHSmith, Tesco again, House of Fraser, Maplin Electronics as well as asking in more places. Most if not all of them didn't reply. If I sound bitter I am cause work is a point of annoyance right now.
93. Random careers I have considering in passing include Web Designing, Interior Designing and some job in Adversiting. The more serious thoughs of course have been Video Games Industry and becoming a Police Officer. And random thoughts surrounding various writing jobs.
94. I feel really odd when I go out without wearing my watch but I hate having it on my wrist when I'm at home. It doesn't matter if I'm indoors or not, if I'm not at home I need my watch and if I am it annoys me that it's on my wrist.
95. I originally joined the Student Cinema to get more involved and I went to a meeting and decided it wasn't for me but I felt quite guilty. I tried to talk to one person who was also a fresher and ended up walking back to Rootes together. Cut to several months later, me using my free cinema ticket for joining (I know, terrible) and the friends I was going with brought a friend who turned out to be that girl! Made me laugh anyway.
96. My favourite flavour of Ben and Jerry's is Caramel Chew Chew though to be honest, if you gave me a tub I wouldn't care what it was. I do quite like cookie dought, one of the sorbets they do and strawberry cheese cake (or peace of cake as it was called).
97. A really bizarre combination of food I enjoy is coleslaw mixed with salted peanuts. I discovered it after a plate of food went awry and have eaten it whenever I have both ingrediants ever since.
98. The Killers are several hundred plays ahead of all the other artists in terms of total plays on my last FM with over 1200 plays where the second place has just over 400. The Killers are the band I would most like to see live (oh how I'd love that) and also make up 7 of the top 11 most played songs on my last FM charts.
99. In my old school homework diary one year I started a little comic, with each day being a panel, about the Adventures of Island Man, a man stuck on a desert island.
100. I really can't believe I wrote another 100 things, especially with such a few amount of cop outs, like things that take over several points despite being actually one or just pointless things that don't teach you much about me. It did take me about a week though. You can see the other three
here, here, and
here. They may contain out of date information though those ones will be mostly obvious.
