So yeah, Wisconsin got royally screwed in the midterm elections. The phrase "Governor Walker" makes my skin crawl. He's not even from Wisconsin. He dropped out of college and never finished. I've been volunteering for campaigns against him for ages. And to lose political rock star Russ Feingold? This is some catastrophic shit. Wisconsinites have just stuck the gun in their mouth.
But I like what
Christine says here: "An election is a moment that shifts power a bit, shifts perceptions a little or a lot, and leads the melodramatic to feelings of hope or doom. The more practical among us move toward cynicism, resignation, or resolve."
Here's hoping I can overcome my feelings of doom and move towards resolve.
