My mother has (supposedly) cut her ties and I'm 99.99% sure I'm the better for it.  It's nice not having that queasy feeling in my stomach every time she emails or calls, "Oh god, what bs does she want from me now?"  Her last tactic was to play the victim, to pretend that she has always been a fantastic mother to me and has shown an awesome ( Read more... )
