Taking a hiatus until Sunday...
Too many of you are reading it. One missed lj-cut, and my weekend is ruined. Therefore, I am taking a hiatus until Sunday. I will still check my mail, so feel free to email me at aliciamasters AT gmail DOT com if you need me. If you spoil me, I will KEEL you.
As I told Leila, I am firmly against reading the PDF. This is obviously a stolen copy, as it can't be a purchased one. (This book does not have advanced reader copies, or any type of free copy. I should know.) I can't do that.
I don't want my experience spoiled, and now, I'm certain it will be. I'm working one of the launch parties, and some cocky kid will come in and shout spoilers, just like last time. That ruins it for hundreds of people, and I hate that. ESPECIALLY since I'll be one of them.
I completely understand reading it; don't get me wrong. The temptation is immense. Still, as i said to Leila in comments: it's like someone pantsed the Queen. You can't help but look, but damn it's disrespectful.
I feel like I owe it to JKR to wait until the release date. It's all she's ever asked of me. (Well, that and over $20 a book.) Still, she's accomodating with fandom. I don't want to spoil it.
