I was sitting in Caffe Nero in Stafford with an Earl Grey to while away the time until my train. I turned my head slightly and crunch went my neck very loudly. This was accompanied with a wave of nausea, a goddess awful headpain, and pins an needles. I gardually bagan to feel very light headed and dizzy. The best course of action seemed to be to go to the hospital.
At the hospital I was seen fairly quickly, prodded and poked appropriately, and some snapshots of my neck taken. As I was "walking wounded" I was sent off to sit in a side waiting room. Eventually, the verdict came back that there was nothing that required immediate attention. I have however was then dosed with industrial strength painkillers, I have 1 more to take before bed and I have a months supply of diclofenac at 100mg/day. I also have a letter for my GP, so I shall toddle down there tomorrow, as instructed, to see what becomes of that.
