May Trip #1
All work and no play equals not much fun. As we have two days of bank holidays in May, I decided to take advantage and schedule two long weekends for trips. :)
Therefore, as some of you might know, I was away for the weekend. More specifically, I visited my mother's cousin D. and her daughter R. in a town about 80-90 km away. I originally wanted to go by bus, ended up going by train - but it was great fun.
As Saturday morning was a bit chilly but sunny, my cousin and I visited the local Medieval Castle and the museum it houses, as well as the Evangelical Church in town. Now if only the afternoon's rain and wind hadn't chased me away from the Jewish Cemetery and all the ancient grave stones, it would have been even better... maybe next time? Which I have promised my aunt D. it will not be in 10 years' time. :P

And in two weeks' time, Sighişoara with scarlethyacinth, frolic_horror and another girl, as it is time to take our Romanian Slash Writers Meeting to other, unsuspecting Medieval towns in this region. Did I ever mention Vlad the Impaler was born in Sighişoara? *cackles*
