For those not in the loop, I ordered a book over a month ago that they told me would be dispatched within 24 hours.
It wasn't, then they ran out of the book, had to order more and put me on a 6-11 day dispatch.
I complained by email and got upgraded to first class delivery and gave me a £5 gift token.
Then they had a supply problem and added another 2 weeks on to the dispatch estimate, which brought it to last Friday.
They didn't dispatch it, I emailed them (more supply problems) and they gave me a £3 gift token and changed the dispatch date yet again and said my items were on hand and ready to dispatch on the 14th (yesterday).
They weren't dispatched yesterday, so at the end of my tether I found their customer service number and called them. The guy got on to the warehouse, whose delivery of my book should have arrived yesterday but apparently only arrived today, and said they put my order at the top of the pile and it should be dispatched today or tomorrow.
I will wait and see...
I am angry because I just want my book, and I have just been fobbed off with excuses for weeks. I'm a big girl, I can handle the truth. If they told me I wouldn't get it for 6 weeks I would be fine with that. What I'm not okay with is being told a series of lies.
For anyone who ever has amazon troubles, don't email them, call them. The numbers can be found here:
