Yay!
I had my interview this morning for nursing school. It went very well. I gave the admissions woman my letter of recommendation, transcripts, and my essay. She asked me some questions like, what would I do to get to my clinical on time if a family member or friend called me and was extremely sick, how would I get there if my car wouldn't start, pros and cons of being in the medical profession, and some other ones I can't recall.
The woman who interviewed me said that she can tell I'm a person who knows what they want, and that I'm very genuine and hard-working. I'm pretty much in 8) I just have to wait for my official acceptance letter!
Sam and I went to my office's holiday party Saturday night. He met almost all my coworkers. It was a small gathering, for all intents and purposes, but I still had a good time. There was a silent auction with fake money, and at the end there were door prizes. I won a Kendall Jackson Reserve bottle (Chardonnay) that I had my eye on. Then I won the Smart Ass Trivia Game and a couple Bath & Body Works lotions. I got the (made up) award for the person who reads the most Harry Potter books. :D They're right though; I read those over and over and over. In our Christmas cards, we all got a gift card to Home Depot for $50 bucks. I spent it on a new plant and pot FOR the plant, along with a Black and Decker cordless drill so I can hang stuff up on my walls. Here's the plant in all its glory:
Going to a Martini Tasting event tomorrow night at my apartment's clubhouse. Sample all kinds of martinis, and yummy hot hors d'oeuvres. A couple friends from work are (tentatively) going to come with me. I think it'll be fun =)
Then, weekend time with Sam! =) ♥
