So I was thinking that Lowell and Holmes' relationship in The Dante Club is sort of comparable to Houdini's and Lovecraft's in The Arcanum. They were pairs that worked together that were just total opposites. Except that Lowell and Holmes were friends while opposing each while and Houdini and Lovecraft... Well, Houdini hated Lovecraft, and Lovecraft was downright scared of Houdini.
