Hey there

You know what just wasn't fun? Getting lost in Jerusalem with my brother. At night. Without a phone and in full knowledge by that point that my Hebrew skills were sorely lacking. See, the thing about directions are they're only useful if they're right. Wrong directions just aren't that handy.

For some reason I was thinking about that earlier today. Anyway...

So I'm reading The Tempest, and I've heard that Forbidden Planet is only really loosely based on it, but honestly? I can definitely see that the stories have a lot in common. And you know, Ariel could totally take Puck any day of the week. Just so we're clear on that.

Ha. I'm talking like I'm at least a good way into the book. I just finished Act I. But I'm just that knowledgable!

OH so Ultimate Spider-Man: Death of a Goblin. Eeeee! I don't know, actually. It wasn't the best arc, but it was still good. It's going to take a while for me to get used to Stuart Immonen's art, but I think he's doing a pretty good job. I do think he makes Peter and MJ look too young and Petter too feminine, but overall, especially for his first arc, he's doing pretty well.

Before I say anything else, I must say KONG, I LOVE YOU. I am SO PROUD of him for standing up for Kitty (to Flash? Was that Flash?). I got this huge smile on my face and felt so happy. I've been waiting to see Kong stand up for the little guy for so long now, and I would be so happy for him and Kitty if they started going out.

I'm also incredibly glad that Peter apologized to Kitty. Because you know, I love Peter, but he was being a complete jerk to both Kitty and MJ for a while there, and he really needed to clear up a lot of things. Seeing the two of them fight together again was also a lot of fun. Heh, they were SHIELD agents. Which reminds me,

OH MY GOD, CAROL DANVERS, SHE'S EVEN WORSE THAN NICK FURY WAS.

I finally start liking Fury, and then he leaves and Danvers shows up and ruins everything. Great. Absolutely perfect. I really do maintain that she's responsible for everything that went down in that arc. If only she'd listened to Norman. Which, normally, wouldn't be the best idea, but in this case...

NICK FURY, COME BACK!

Wow. Never thought I'd say that.

And the end was sort of heartbreaking. Reminds me now a little of the end of the Carnage arc when they're all in detention and upset about Gwen's death. I wish Harry had been around a little more frequently lately, because I felt sad for Peter et al when he died, but I didn't feel that upset myself.

Yep.

Oh oh oh I'm cosplaying this weekend as Toph. I'm nervous. Excited, but nervous. I'm hoping I'll have shaken the worst of this cold by then. And I'm hoping it won't rain.

Wait.

Me, hoping it won't rain?

I must be going mad.
